Envisioning a growing need for a major league breeding program in Delaware, Joe and JoAnn Thomson created a state-of-the-art breeding facility at the convenient crossroads of Delaware and Maryland, near Pennsylvania and New Jersey, in suburban Middletown, DE. Since its inception, Winbak of Delaware quickly has earned a winning championship tradition.

Winbak Farm stallions have dominated the Delaware Standardbred Breeder's Fund for the past several years. Every year Winbak Farm features its best Delaware-bred yearlings at the Winbak Select Yearling Sale that will be held on September 16th, 2011.
Trotters
Cr Commando T, 2, 1:53.2Z ($378,602). CR Commando has dominated the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund Finals with his offspring winning 41 DSBF Championships of the possible 52 DSBF Championships. In 2010, his average earnings per starter was $52,000 and he was Delaware’s Leading Trotting Stallion of 2010 (based on 2010 earnings of offspring). CR Commando stands for $4,000.
Giant Hit T, 2, 1:58; 3, 1:54.2m ($724,065). Giant Hit was a top trotting stallion in New York before being moved to Delaware. He is the sire of 73 in 2:00 or better and 36 winners of $100,000 or more. He was Delaware’s Second Leading Trotting Stallion in 2010 (based on 2010 earnings of offspring). Giant Hit will be stands in Delaware for $3,500.
Crown Prince Gar T, 1:57.1f ($229,569). Crown Prince Gar’s sire is Garland Lobell, who also sired Andover Hall, Angus Hall, and Conway Hall. Crown Prince Gar held the track record at Harrington for two-year-old trotters until 2008. Look for his three-year-old DSBF standouts Big Award ($47,450) and All Shoes On Deck ($25,855). Crown Prince Gar stands for $1,500.
Political Briefing T, 2, 1:58; 3, Q1:56.2M ($312,743). Political Briefing is the sire of Funny Briefs ($124,413), Smart Strike ($106,185), and Political Starlet ($95,155). He is a half-brother to Self Professed who earned $1,094,163. He stands for $2,000.
Pacers
Bonnie And Clyde P, 2, 1:53.4m ($501,138). Bonnie And Clyde is the sire of 3 in 1:53, 17 in 1:55, 24 in 1:57, and 32 in 1:59. Past Maryland standouts include Cool Flying Fun ($620,268), Clydes Moment ($299,717), Mad Libs ($237,549), and Pay Up ($217,846). He stands his first season in Delaware for $1,500.
Roddy's Bags Again P, 2, 1:54.3, 3, 1:50.2f, 1:48.4 ($705,175). Roddy's Bags Again is the fastest son of Dragon Again standing stud. While racing, he paced in 1:52 or better 52 times. His oldest offspring are two-year-olds in 2011. His first crop of yearlings sold for an average of four times the stud fee. He stands for $3,500 in 2011.
Three Olives P, 2,1:52s:3, 1:51 ($1,022,801). Three Olives is the second richest son of Jenna’s Beach Boy. He is the sire of 7 in 1:53, 32 in 1:55, 50 in 1:57, and 59 in 1:59. Sire of DSBF standout Three Martinis ($117,750). He stands for $2,000 in 2011.
Artzina P, 2,1:51.1; 3, 1:51.1f ($780,063). Artzina is standing his second season in 2011 at Winbak Farm of Delaware. 2011 foals are good looking and full of pace. Artzina was the 2006 Dan Patch & Nova Two-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year. He was also a New Jersey Sire Stakes Champion, winner of the Matron Final at two, winner of a Progress elim at three & the Isle of Capri at four. Artzina stands for $4,000.
Powerful Toy P,2,1:52.4f; 3,1:51.1-1:51.2h ($868,657). Powerful Toy is a royally bred son of Jate Lobell from a World Champion race mare Toylee Hanover by Albatross. Powerful Toy was a highly regarded stakes winning colt, and the only performer to win both the Matron Two-Year-Old and Matron Three-Year-Old finals and to also win the prestigious Progress Pace as well. Powerful Toy is the sire of 2010 two-year-old WORLD CHAMPION Powerful Mist. Powerful Mist has come back strong in 2011, winning both of his eliminations and the $100,000 final of the DSBF at Dover. Powerful Toy stands for a modest fee of $2,000.
Rustler Hanover P, 2, 1:52.3s, 3, 1:51 ($971,638). Rustler Hanover is from the impressive family of Rich N Elegant. He is the full brother to Red River Hanover & Richess Hanover, and the half-brother to Rocknroll Hanover. Rustler Hanover is the sire of the millionaire Keystone Horatio, winner of the ’08 Canadian Breeders Crown. His offspring have average earnings of $50,000. He was Delaware’s Leading Pacing Stallion of 2010 (based on offspring’s 2010 earnings). Rustler Hanover stands for $4,000.
Three Wizzards P,2,1:54;1:56h; 3,1:52.2f ($815,154). Three Wizzards is formerly one of the top stallions in the New York State breeding program. He is a former Breeders Crown champion and leading son of legendary pacer Albatross. He is the sire of 13 winners of $100,000 and 20 in 1:55. He stands for a modest $1,500 in 2011.
Veeza P, 3, 1:52.4; 1:51.2 ($49,478). Veeza is the half-brother to the impressive millionaire Nihilator. Veeza himself showed great potential but was hurt in a training accident and never able to reach his full potential. Sired by the late great Western Hanover. Veeza has sired a number of Maine Breeders Stakes stand outs including KDK Primadonna p, 2, 2:02h; 3, 1:58.4h-’10 ($100,689) and Aprils Golden Hour p,2,2:01.3h; 3’ 1:59.3h-10’ ($70,260). Veeza stands his second season in Delaware for $1,500.
