Acton O So Royal sprinted through the stretch to capture the Sunday afternoon feature at Red Shores Summerside.

Gary Chappell was in the bike behind Acton O So Royal (Royal Mattjesty - Call It Life) for owner Wayne Pike of Winsloe, PEI and trainer Colleen Chappell. The time of the mile was 1:59, and it was Chappell’s third winner of the program. My Lucky Killean (Ken Murphy) was second with Athletic Putnam (Walter Cheverie) nailing the show ticket.

Cheverie’s magic number is now five to go to hit career win 2,500 after a hat-trick at the Prince County oval. He won the Leon Stewart Memorial with Long Life from the Devon Wallace stable and then clicked with Rash B Havior for trainer Michael Peters.

Gigolos Pride delivered as the post time favourite in the Cecil Stewart Memorial for driver Jason Hughes and trainer Blaine McKenna. Hughes recorded a driving double on the program.
