Assistant Trainer Keith Haynes Passes Away at 50

Winbak Farm is mourning the loss of Assistant Trainer Keith Haynes, 50, a longtime Ohio horseman who died January 14, 2009 in Chesapeake City, Md. 

Mr. Haynes was born Feb. 6, 1959, in Washington Court House, Ohio and was involved in the sport for more than 30 years. As a driver, he recorded 401 victories, with his mounts banking $988,432. His trainees recorded 205 victories and earned $744,644 since the USTA began keeping training records in 1991.

He was a valued member of our farm family and will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his surviving family; wife Ruth, daughter Brittney and son Brian.
