WINBAK PENNSYLVANIA

Born to Compete...

Winbak Farm wanted to keep investing in the prosperous sire stakes program of Pennsylvania, so Winbak Farm partnered up with Nandi Farms to stand pacing stallion Quik Pulse Mindale in Pennsylvania.

Nandi Farms consists of three farm locations, encompassing a total of 275 acres. An additional 100 acres of pasture are leased at three nearby locations.

The main site and clinic is located two miles west of New Freedom, Pennsylvania adjacent to Route 851. The clinic was built in 1996 to serve as a breeding farm and offices for Nandi Veterinary Associates. There are six barns with a total of 79 stalls large enough for a mare and foal, or stallions. Two breeding arenas offer ample space for breeding and a phantom for semen collection of stallions. A 68-foot diameter Equiciserâ„¢ is under roof for year-round preparation of horses for sale and racing. Two of the newest barns at Nandi Farms incorporate a stall-cleaning system, similar to those frequently used in dairy cattle facilities.

An onsite laboratory is used for semen processing, embryo transfer, bacteriology, and hematology. The newest brood mare and yearling preparation barn also contains a satellite laboratory for semen processing and embryo transfer. In 1998, Nandi Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (NVDL) was approved by the United States Department of Agriculture to conduct official Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA or coggins) tests.
