Harrington, DE — Wolfpack Russ ($6.20, Corey Callahan) won the fastest of four Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) $20,000 first leg divisions for 2-year-old trotters Wednesday (Sept. 22) at Harrington Raceway.
Owned by Stuart Chambers Racing, Bcjm Inc., Divine Horse Racing and Cinbrew Enterprises, the Glidemaster gelding held off a fierce rally from Spooky Punk for a narrow win in 2:02.1. Canoe Trip was third. Trained by Nick Callahan, it was the second career win for Wolfpack Russ.
LG’s Reed O Wen ($2.60, Jim Morand) won his third straight race in the second DSBF split in 2:02.3 for owner Nanticoke Racing and trainer Les Givens. The Anders Bluestone gelding was a front end winner over Rivers and Snow Burst.
Just four starters lined up behind up the gate in the first female division, in which Art Stafford and Art Stafford Jr.’s Just Pump It ($3.40, Stafford Jr.) prevailed over Larimar and Lady Bluestone in 2:04.2. It was the first career start for the winner, who is a daughter of CR Commando for co-owner/trainer/driver Stafford Jr.
Andrew Glassmeyer’s Franky Doyle ($4, Pat Berry) won the remaining filly division in 2:05 over Our Last Penny and Giant Arbirtration. The Glidemaster filly won in her first career start for trainer/owner Glassmeyer.
Jason Thompson, Victor Kirby, Mike Cole and Stafford Jr. each drove two winners. Jay Gannon and Joe Columbo had training doubles.
