Stealing Bases

Dover, DE – Two divisions of fillies started off the Daily Double for their Dover series of $20K legs on Wednesday (Dec. 1).

The first half Stealing Bases (Roddy’s Bags Again-End To End Hanover) took command at the quarter and led to the wire winning in 1:54.4 for driver Tim Tetrick and trainer, Jim King, Jr. This was a new lifetime mark for the filly bred and owned by JoAnn Looney-King. Roses And Orchids got the place and Hey Hey Dbay was the show.

Second half of the double was marred by the favorite making a break after the start and leaving a clear track for Cinder’s Baby (Rockabillie-Cinderella) to go wire-to-wire also earning a new lifetime record of 1:54.4. Driven by Ross Wolfenden for trainer Virginia Louthan and owners William Masterson and Eli Beiler. Elam Esh is the breeder. Harrington final winner, Tobago Time (Allan Davis) was second followed by Seboomook Beauty in third.

Tomorrow night (Dec. 2nd) will wrap up the first legs with the 3-year-old pacing colts and geldings. Post Time 4:30 p.m.
