Lemoyne, PA --- The fifth edition of Super Stakes Sunday is set for August 19 at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack.

Top 3-years-olds will compete in the card’s trio of marquee events. The Battle of the Brandywine for pacing colts and geldings and the Colonial Trot for trotting colts and geldings will each go for a purse of $500,000. The Valley Forge for pacing fillies will go for $350,000. Each event will have two consolations.

Also on the card is the $150,000 Maxie Lee Memorial Invitational for older trotters and the $150,000 PHHA Invitational Pace for older pacers. Interested parties can contact the Harrah’s Philadelphia race office at 484.490.2222 for consideration.

Rounding out the card will be three $75,000 opens, one for 3-year-old pacers, one for 3-year-old trotters, plus a $75,000 2-year-old open pace. Preference for these events will be given to Pennsylvania-sired horses, then Pennsylvania-owned, then open to all.

Clubhouse reservations may be made through the PHHA by calling either the Pocono office (570.831.2129) or Harrah's office (610.874.5200).
