Chesapeake City, MD — Winbak Farm of Maryland and Winbak Farm of Canada have welcomed their first foals of 2023.

On Sunday (Jan. 15), Winbak Farm of Maryland’s first foal, a My MVP-Blazing Fuchsia filly, was born at 4:20 p.m. This is the first foal for Blazing Fuchsia, a half-sister to 46-time winner Flashy Lady 1:54.2f ($411,231).

On Tuesday (Jan. 17), Winbak Farm of Canada welcomed their first foal, a Shadow Play-Twin B Cheeks colt, at 8:15 a.m. He is a half-brother to 2022 Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots semifinal winner Twin Delight p,2,1:53.4s -’22 ($47,648).

Both broodmares and their foals are doing well.

Visit the Winbak Farm Facebook page to submit your name ideas for these foals. Many foals will be posted this season for fans to have a chance to name a future racehorse. Several names have been used in recent years.
