Better Double Flip moved relentlessly first over, wore down the leader and pulled off the 8-1 upset in Wednesday’s (Oct. 23) co-feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $15,541 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Better Double Flip was fourth down the backside when Brady Brown sent her after Cinnamon Crisp on the point. The five-year-old daughter of Betterthancheddar-Double Flip ground down Cinnamon Crisp and went on to score in 1:52.4. Four Wide N Flyin rallied for place, a half length back, with early leader Hurrikane Lori Ann third.

Timothy Wilson trains Better Double Flip, who lifted her lifetime earnings to $269,940, for Wilson Racing Stable Inc. and Ann Calvert. 

In Wednesday’s companion feature, a $15,541 conditioned trot, Swan Legacy powered by the 1-5 favourite, Tequila Talkin, in the Lightning Land and downed him by a neck in 1:55.1. The first-over Keystone Chaos completed the ticket. Jeremy Indof piloted the seven-year-old Swan For All-Ladlylike Volo gelding, who now boasts a career bankroll of $299,124, for owner/trainer Todd Keith. 

Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. and trainer Ron Burke teamed for four wins on the 13-race card while Indof also enjoyed a four-bagger.
