ive trips to the winner's circle on Monday night (December 3) at Woodbine, Sylvain Filion has inched closer to leader Jody Jamieson in WEG's 2012 harness racing driver standings.

 

Filion, who has 256 victories this season on the WEG circuit, is just seven wins behind Jamieson, who after a driving double has 263 triumphs.

 

Filion captured four consecutive dashes from race six to nine.

 

The reinsman, respectively, won with the Mick Grant-trained Blue Chip Sunshine ($49.70, 1:53.2), Star Ruffnready ($5.60, 1:53.1) for conditioner James Lamacchia, the Richard Moreau pupil Aahm A Gesture ($5.90, 1:52.2) and Cee Pee Panic ($6, 1:52.3) for trainer Stephane Larocque.

 

The Al Tomlinson trainee, Here Comes Jenny ($54.30, 1:54.2), notched Filion's fifth win of the night in the 11th and final race.

 

The Milton resident is having a career year, with 396 wins and over $8.1 million in purse earnings. Lifetime, Filion has accumulated over $73.4 million in purses and had 7,151 trips down victory lane.
