g>East Rutherford, NJ --- Our Horse Cents Stables and Nina Simmonds' Golden Receiver, making his first start since winning the Presidential Series in January, scored in 1:51.2 over a sloppy track to win a $30,000 FFA/A-1 handicap on Saturday night (Feb. 23) at Meadowlands Racetrack.

With Tim Tetrick in the bike for trainer Mark Harder, the 8-year-old Village Jove-Royal Gold gelding won for the fifth straight time in 2013 and saw his season's earnings climb to $121,750.

Golden Receiver led every step of the mile through fractions of :28, :55.4 and 1:23.2 before pacing a final panel in :28 to hit the wire in 1:51.2.

He was 3-1/2 lengths ahead of runner-up River Shark (David Miller) with Abelard Hanover third for Corey Callahan.

The $3 million plateau has now become the norm and not the exception at the Meadowlands, as the total all sources handle of $3,621,796 on Saturday marked an increase of 25 percent from the $2,905,427 bet on this same Saturday in 2012. The live handle was also up once again.

In addition to the successful night at the Meadowlands, Winners Bayonne OTW had its most successful day since its opening, including an additional $29,129 wagered on the Meadowlands at that facility.
