Farm is currently in the prime of the 2013 harness racing breeding season, with 3 months left - breeder's have plenty of time to breed their mares but they should be booked soon.

 

If you are uncertain who to breed your mare too, Winbak's experienced staff can guide you in the right direction. Winbak Farm is standing 13 stallions in Delaware and Pennsylvania for $4,000 or less. These stallions have proven pedigrees, stakes winning records and are standing in two of North America's most lucrative areas.

 

The Delaware program went for $3.8 Million in 2012 and offered each division two $100,000 Finals, two $30,000 Consolations and two legs before each Final. Delaware is home to two tracks, Dover Downs and Harrington Raceway.

 

Last week, three-year-olds, by Winbak Farm sires, won three of the four $100,000 finals. Pennsylvania offers three levels of competition: Sire Stakes, Stallion Series and County Fairs. The Pennsylvania Sire Stakes went for $11.99 Million in 2012, the Stallion Series went for $4.02 Million and the County Fairs went for $1.98 Million.

 

The state is home to 3 racetracks, including Harrah's Philadelphia, The Meadows and Pocono Downs. In addition, both states offer Breeders Award programs. 

 

Pennsylvania Pacers

Winbak Farm has partnered with Nandi Veterinary Associates and Nandi Farms to stand Bettor's Delight,Delmarvalous and Shark Gesture. Nandi Veterinary Associates and Nandi Farms consists of three farm locations, encompassing a total of 275 acres. The main site and clinic are located two miles west of New Freedom, Pennsylvania adjacent to Route 851. Winbak Farm partnered with Nandi to assure the best care available in Pennsylvania for mares being bred to Winbak Stallions and for the stallions themselves.

 

Bettor's Delight - p, 2, 1:51.3s, 3, 1:49.4 ($2,581,461). Bettor's Delight, who will be inducted into the Harness Racing Living Hall of Fame in July, was well received in first season standing in Pennsylvania. The son of Cam's Card Shark served a full book of mares in 2013. Those interested in breeding to Bettor's Delight for 2014 should contact Blue Chip Farms at 845.895.3930.

 

Delmarvalous - p, 2, 1:52.3f; 3, 1:48.2m ($899,123). The fastest son of Badlands Hanover is standing his second season at stud and his first in Winbak Farm's lineup. At 2, he was voted the Delaware two-year-old colt pacer of the year and won two $100,000 DSBF Finals. At 3, he won the Adios Final equaling the stakes record of 1:49.2f and won the Oliver Wendell Holmes in his own lifetime record of 1:48.2. He stands for $3,500.

 

Shark Gesture - p, 2, 1:51.3; 3, 1:49.1; 1:48.1 ($2,822,092). Shark Gesture retired from his career in the top 20 for richest pacers of all time. In his career he paced 31 sub 1:50 miles & 4 miles in 1:48 or faster. He was a Breeders Crown Winner at 3, winning against Mister Big andArtistic Fella. He made over $900,000 at both 6 and 7 after breeding a small crop of Ontario mares. Shark Gesture stands for $4,000. Breeders interested in Shark Gesture are encouraged to call for information on discounts and breeding packages.

 

Delaware Pacers 

Artzina - p, 2,1:51.1; 3, 1:51.1f ($781,184). Artzina is a USHWA 2YO divisional award winning son of MillionaireArtiscapeArtiscape is the sire of 7 Millionaires including Horse Of The Year, Rainbow Blue, p, 2, 1:54.2; 3, 1:49.2s ($1,428,594). Artzina's first crop is now 2, look for them in DSBF action. Artzina stands for $4,000.

 

Badlands Nitro - p, 2, 1:51.1f; 3, 1:50f ($1,597,638). Badlands Nitro is new to Delaware in 2013! He is the richest son of Badlands Hanoverin North America. His wins include the Art Rooney and Battle of Brandywine. His first crop raced in 2012 and included NY Stakes Winner,Tijuana Party, p, 3, 1:54.3f -'13 ($43,045). Badlands Nitro stands for $4,000.

 

Dream Away - p, 2, 1:52.2; 3, 1:50 ($1,342,071). Dream Away is a son of the late Artsplace, his stakes wins included the International Stallion Stakes at 2 and Meadowlands Pace at 3. His offspring includes Spring Break, p, 3, 1:50.3z ($787,057) and Handsome Harry, p, 1:51 ($688,798).

 

Roddy's Bags Again - p, 2, 1:54.3; 3, 1:50.2f; 1:48.4 ($705,175). Roddy's Bags Again is the fastest son of Dragon Again standing at stud. At 2, he showed early speed with a last quarter of :26.4. In his career, he paced in 1:52 or faster, a total of 52 times. His wins included the Matron at 3 and 2 divisions of the Pennsylvania Sire Stakes. Roddy's Bags Again's recent winners include DSBF elimination winner, Hot Roddy, p, 3, 1:53.2f-'13 ($177,575), DSBF final winner, Bags Of Stars, p, 3, 1:52.4f -'13 ($133,025) and DSBF elimination winner, KJ's Caroline, p, 3, 1:53.2f -'13 ($65,062). Roddy's Bags Again stands for $3,500.

 

Rustler Hanover - p, 2, 1:52.3s, 3, 1:51 ($971,638). Rustler Hanover is a Western Hanover son and a half-brother to the late Rocknroll Hanover, p, 3, 1:48.3 ($2,754,038). Rustler Hanover's offspring include Millionaire Keystone Horatio, p, 1:48.4s ($1,536,204) and Armbro Acquire, p, 1:49.2 ($924,952). Rustler Hanover is also the sire of 2013 DSBF elimination Winner, Blush With Pride, p, 3, 1:55.1f -'13 ($78,623). He stands for $4,000.

 

Three Wizzards - p, 2, 1:54; 3, 1:52.2f ($815,154). Three Wizzards, a son of Albatross, provides a great outcross for mares including those of the Western Hanover line. Three Wizzards was a multiple stakes winner, winning the Abe Lincoln Stakes at 2 and beating Artsplace in the Breeders Crown at 3.
