posting back-to-back wins versus claiming pacers trainer Isaac Waxman watched the streaking Sweet Bet extend her winning streak to three-in-a-row despite marching up to the Fillies & Mares Preferred class Tuesday at The Raceway at the Western Fair District.

With London’s hottest set of hands – those of driver Trevor Henry – at the lines, Sweet Bet turned a two-hole trip into a narrow score in the $12,000 tilt. Leaving from Post 8, the four-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight-Jenna Sweetie landed in the pocket and stalked the tempo-setting Misty Moonstone through intervals of :28, :58.2 and 1:27.4. Sweet Bet found clearance in the lane and used a :29.2 closing panel to haul down the favourite in a time of 1:57.2. Runner-up Misty Moonstone came up one-quarter of a length short in her bid to go gate-to-wire, with Smile Cam finishing a well-beaten third.

Sent off as the 5-2 second choice in the wagering, Sweet Bet improved her 2012 record to 8-7-6 from 42 tries with the victory. The 12-time winner has banked in excess of $61,000 this year and more than $87,000 to date.
