Rebounding from a disappointing finish in his last stakes event, Big N Bag cruised to a career-best victory in Sunday's featured $15,000 Keith Linton Memorial at Fraser Downs, which is for three-year-old pacing horses and geldings that are B.C. owned, bred or sired.

Fraser Downs' leading driver Jim Marino, winner of the 2010 edition with Base Camp, collected another Linton trophy as Big N Bad converted a pocket trip into a 1:57 triumph.

The son of Badlands Hanover grabbed the lead from post three forcing early leaver Jolt Of Whiskey and John Hudon to take back into third during a :29-second opening panel. But as Big N Bad lead the field in front of the grandstand for the first time, the pocket-pulling Lildudepurrfection and Scott Knight swept to command.

The new leader rolled through middle splits of :59 and 1:28.1 without facing any challengers until Big N Bad made his move at the top of the stretch.

The 4-5 favourite overtook Lildudepurrfection and opened up two and a half lengths down the lane with Jolf Of Whiskey closing up the passing lane to take runner-up honours. Big N Bad paid $3.90 to win. Lildudepurrfection settled for third.

The Ty O'Neill trainee now boasts two stakes wins on his resume and purses totalling $29,726. Big N Bad was also a Premiers Colt Stakes winner last October at Northlands Park for owner J J J Stables of Aldergrove, B.C. His lifetime record now reads 3-3-3 in 13 outings.

The same connections also won the following race with four-year-old Kents On Nuke gelding I Hear Voices, who took a new lifetime mark of 1:55 with his first winning effort this year.
