In the $100,000 DSBF pacing finals. Enee Weenie And Me, a 7-1 shot, closed with conviction for Jim King to out-leg front-pacing McMurray Hanover (Corey Callahan) and Scout Hanover (Ben Stafford) to the wire in colt and gelding final, The Badlands Hanover-Heather And Me gelding won for breeder-owner JoAnn King.
Montrell Teague took the lead early piloting George Teague Inc.'s No Bad Luck, winner of the Dover Downs $100,000 soph final to victory in 1:53.4 to take the rich filly pace by 5-3/4 lengths Iosmio (Bryan Truitt) came on for second with Sucha Bad Girl (George Dennis) the show finisher.
The superbly bred Airborne Commando, a CR Commando half brother to $1.6-million winner CR Kay Suzie and $900,000 winner CR Excalibur, recorded a 2:00 triumph to win the $100,000 DSBF Colt and Gelding trot. Rod Allen bred, owns and drove the winner conditioned by Carlo Poliseno notching a 6-length victory.
Chocolate N Roses, reined by Bret Brittingham, came on strongly in deep stretch to catch Miss Snazz in the final step for a1:59.2 score. The CR Commando-Confederate Rose miss was bred, owned and trained by Erika Paradee.
In the $40,000 Governor's Cup, Mr. Wiggles made a successful return to the track as Corey Callahan guided the son of Badlands Hanover to a 1:51.2 track record for a four-year-old over the half-mile oval. George Teague trains and co-owns Mr. Wiggles with Elmer Fannin. Sniper Hall finished second in front of Solano. Delaware governor, Jack Markell, made the winner's circle presentation.
Ireneonthemove, a daughter of Powerful Toy, used a perfect 2-hole trip to advantage, rolling to a 1:53 victory in the $30,000 Legislative Cup. Rodney Wyatt, senior and junior, is winning owners.
Tony Morgan drove veteran JM Vangogh to an easy 1:56.4 victory in the $30,000 Charles Murphy Memorial trot.
Gary and Barbara Iles' homebred, another Badlands Hanover performer, Zee Barber, made the winner's circle in the $20,000 President's Cup, as Montrell Teague drove the 1:53 triumph.
In $20,000 DSBF consolation events, William Moffett Inc.'s Brisk Clipper, also by Badlands Hanover, strolled home a 1:55.2 winner in $20,000 male pace while Winbak Patty, a Badlands Hanover filly, won the filly consolation in 1:57.4 for the Henry Faragallis, Joe Thomson and trainer Del Cote.
The trot consolations went to My Command To You with Corey Callahan by 7-lengths in 2:01.3 for trainer Steve LeBlanc and the Political Briefing filly, Super Delegate, driven by Eddie Moore for John and Pat Moore closed out the 14-race card.
