Repeat For Frenchfrysnvinegar

For the second week-in-a-row the $35,000 Preferred Trot at Mohawk Racetrack belonged to the front-stepping Frenchfrysnvinegar, who wired up seven foes to take Tuesday’s feature race at the Campbellville oval.

Jody Jamieson took full advantage of Frenchfrysnvinegar’s tactical speed by rushing to the lead from Post 7 with the Jeff Gillis pupil, who proceeded to slice out splits of :27, :56.3 and 1:25.1 before using a :27.4 final quarter to win by a length in 1:53. A fast-closing Celebrity Cowboy was second best, with Andover America finishing third.

David Smith of Rockwood, ON holds the ownership papers on the six-year-old daughter of Angus Hall-Gugus. The homebred won for the seventh time this season and for the 21st time in her career. The $17,500 payday helped her seasonal bankroll climb to $175,600. She has stashed away more than $437,310 in her career.
