>HARRINGTON, Del. – Jeff and David Clark’s Ash Larue ($6, Jim Morand) scored her third straight win Tuesday in the $19,000 Mares Open at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.3.


The Jeff Clark-trained 8-year-old Artiscape mare was sent for the lead early and never relinquished in her two length score over Mom’s Toy and Scarlet Pandemic. It was the 31st career win for Ash Larue who surpassed $350,000 in career earnings.


It was one of three driving wins for Morand, who also won three on Monday. Victor Kirby also had a three win night.


Ross Wolfenden won two races.


Also on the program were charitable events, dubbed the “Rickshaw Rumble,” which featured a human as the horse pulling a sulky. Three divisions were contested of the popular annual charity which is organized by local TV personality Heather Vitale. All proceeds of the event go to benefit Horse Lovers United, a charitable organization that finds homes for retired horses who can no longer compete.
