Columbus, OH --- For the second year in a row, the USTA is sponsoring a Standardbred information booth at the Maryland Horse World Expo to be held Jan. 17-19. The 18th annual expo will be held at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.

Headed up locally by Cheri Stambaugh of the Maryland Standardbred Race Fund, the booth will have information for expo goers to pick up on harness racing and what activities retired racehorses excel at.

The booth space is in the popular Cow Palace, booth #1422 (different building from the booth space in the Exhibition Hall for those that visited the booth last year). Show hours are 12 noon–8 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. on Sunday. General admission for each day is $10 (adults) and $5 (children ages 6-12).

The Standardbred Retirement Foundation will also be at the Expo; their booth space is #B13, also in Cow Palace.

Since 1996, the Standardbred Equine Program at the USTA has worked with off-the-track Standardbreds and their owners to educate the general public on the many disciplines at which Standardbreds excel once they are retired from racing.
