Dover, DE --- Four of eight starters in the $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund 2-year-old trotting colt final have won at least one of the two preliminary legs. The top eight point-getters in the prelims vie in the final on the Tuesday (Nov. 26) card at Dover Downs. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Two of the starters were unbeaten in the preliminaries with a pair of victories. Jim and Ann Parsons and Bob Shahan’s I Like My Boss will be driven by Jonathan Roberts, while Winbak Farm’s Call Me Hall and Vic Kirby leave from the rail.

The other win-savvy contestants are Syl King’s Whichwayrightrleft, handled by Ross Wolfenden, and breeder, owner and trainer Bobby Myers’ Boo’s The Boss (Allan Davis), who won last week by being placed first after Winbak Farms’ Winbak Charles M and Jeff Fout were disqualified for interference.

Starting from outside post eight, LG’s Pride, with Jim Morand in the bike, was the race favorite in both his prelims, finishing second and third for Trevor Johnson, Henry Faragalli III and Nanticoke Racing. Bosston BNZ, owned by Eli Beiler and trainer-driver Art Stafford, Jr. has been close-up in both his prelims. Meet leading driver Corey Callahan will drive Winmando for John and Sarah Swart to complete the line-up.

There are also eight competitors in the $20,000 DSBF consolation trot, the card’s lead off event. Program favorite is Marvin Meyer’s freshman My Bob Charlie.
