s Edge nipped front-stepping Dynamic Youth and fast-closing Nova Artist in 1:50 to win Thursday’s $30,000 Preferred pace at Dover Downs.

Using a similar effort as in last week’s feature, Dynamic Youth cut out a fast pace and held off a lengthy challenge from Adventure Bound from the half to mid-stretch. In the lane, Corey Callahan driving Bettors Edge, stalked the leader from the start, and sped along the passing lane to nip Dynamic Youth and Vic Kirby in the final strides for his sixth victory of the year. Meanwhile Allan Davis and Nova Artist were bulleting on the outside and finished a neck back in third.

With the win, Bettors Edge, owned by Burke Racing LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable, has reached the six-figure mark this season with $104,800 in purses.

Corey Callahan had a four-win performance on the card while Tony Morgan and trainer Eric Ell added three winners apiece.

The annual Dover Downs’ “Christmas Holiday Break,” begins Dec. 20 through Dec. 28. Live Racing resumes on Sunday, Dec. 29 with post time at 5:30 p.m.
