>Up Front Kellie Jo doubled up in Thursday’s edition of the $10,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace at Northfield Park, and she did so with the greatest of ease.


Starting from the second tier, Up Front Kellie Jo was sixth through the :27.3 opening quarter. Josh Sutton pulled the eight-year-old daughter of Bettors Delight-Lifes Highway second-over approaching the mid-way point, and she remained in the cover flow through fractions of :57 and 1:25.3 before taking the lead in the final turn and eventually besting her competition by two lengths in 1:54.3. Y Mach Me was second best, with Power Everywhere taking home third prize.


Rob Harmon trains the mare for owners Ed Mullinax and Mark Ford. It was the 41st career victory for Up Front Kellie Jo, who increased her lifetime earnings to $836,347. She returned $4.40 in the winning effort.
