Garnet O’Marrow’s homebred Seboomook Fool Yah, with Allan Davis in the sulky, was an impressive winner of both of his $20,000 prelims. The Wiz Kids Stable has interest in two of the eight starters. One is Jonigold, with Corey Callahan driving from post 8, the other as partner with Tina Dennis and driver George Dennis on I’m Won Rum Wiser.  LeBlanc Racing and Winbak Farm’s Reflected Art, piloted by Ross Wolfenden, was a 24-1 opening leg winner and finished second in his other prelim. Winbak Farm also has two contenders; Angel Face, handled by Tony Morgan, with one prelim win and Fashion Guru with Ben Stafford Jr., who finished second in both her prelims.

Other contenders include Virginia Louthan’s homebred Megginspin with Ron Pierce at the controls and Gloria Keefe and trainer Sammy Belote’s homebred Bettylou Who, with driver Bret Brittngham leaving from post 1.

Ed Walls’ Mommom’s Little C (Jonathan Roberts) from outside post 7 and Marjorie Richards and Judith Leonard’s Thersa (G. Dennis) are other contenders.

The final $24,000 Mares Open Handicap pace of the meet reunites Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar and Steve Iaquinta’s Jeremes Sweetheart (Pierce) and Spend It All (Jim Morand) owned by Steve Head and Brooke Givens. They were separated by a nose in both of their last two week’s meetings with Jeremes Sweetheart getting up using the passing lane both times.  Last week Kimberley and trainer Johnny Waite’s Alexachase (Bret Bittingham) was a game third with D.R. Van Witzenburg and George Golemes’ Ideal Ginny (Davis), fourth.

The other starters are owner-trainer Bob Winkelman’s Paradise Lost (Wolfenden), Richard Lester and trainer Tony Domino’s Alice’s Restaurant (Kirby) stepping up after a win last week and first time 2014 starter Bags Of Stars (Callahan) racing for Dianne and Joel Halpern.
