Dover, DE --- Ron Pierce, coming off a four-win slam on Thursday, made it six winning drives on Sunday (March 9) at Dover Downs.


Pierce’s six winners were Sucha Bad Girl (Badlands Hanover) in the second, Devil’s Ivy (Winbak graduate) in the fourth, Reindance Ray in the fifth, Go Big Spinder in race 10, Nuts And Jolts in the 12th and Three Ten in the 14th race.


Mike Rossi, who has specialized with longshot wins all meet, guided 49-1 shot Twincreeks Indy to victory on the card. Twincreeks Indy charged down the lane to overtake 8-5 favorite Arpeggio Hanover (Allan Davis) in deep stretch to notch his first win of 2014 for owner-trainer Bob Mundell. Brisk Clipper (Roger Plante) thundered home third.


Maximum Terror won the first part of the co-featured $9,500 paces when Ben Stafford, Jr. wore down Pierce driving Bestofthebunch in 1:54.1. The 4-year-old gelding by Western Terror-HTF Cocoa insured his victory in the final strides for his first win of the year. TK Kilowatt Sam (George Dennis) finished third.


In the second division, Ross Wolfenden drove JJ Nitro, an altered son of N Xample-Farline Hanover, into daylight in the passing lane and came on for a victory. On The Horizon (Vic Kirby) and Leyden (Davis) were second and third, respectively.
