Despite three consecutive wins in the $34,000 Preferred Trot at Woodbine Racetrack, Hldontghttoyurdrms must have felt like Rodney Dangerfield because he didn’t get top respect from the betting public in Monday’s edition of the class.

That was a grave error considering the Corey Johnson pupil turned a two-hole trip into a victory in going away fashion for driver Jonathan Drury.

Hldontghttoyurdrms took over command shortly past the opening quarter in :27.2, but was then overtaken in the backstretch by stablemate Nowucit Nowudont, who was sent off as the favourite in the eight-horse affair. That foe led the group through middle splits of :55.3 and 1:24.2, but he drifted off the rail when he tired late and that allowed Hldontghttoyurdrms to shoot through and sprint home for the 1:53.3 score. Amigo De Grande, a former claimer, was second best with Cool Guy taking home third prize.

It was the fourth win of the year in five trips to the track for the five-year-old son of Muscles Yankee-Sweet Gabriella, who is owned by Frank Spagnolo, Frank Schimizzi and Saverio Spagnolo. The 14-time winner upped his lifetime earnings to $187,615 with the win.
