The Jimmy Takter-trained Maven drew post position one in the Grand Prix de France to be raced Sunday afternoon (Feb. 8) at Vincennes.


Johnny Takter -- the elder brother of Jimmy -- will be in the sulky behind Maven for the first time.


The Grand Prix de France is raced over the 1-5/16 mile distance and a total of 13 trotters were entered. Among those are Up And Quick, who won the Prix d’Amerique a week and a half ago.


Maven and Solvato, the full brother to Shake It Cerry, are the only North American-bred trotters in the race.
