The weather was perfect for Father's Day weekend at Hanover Raceway. The track's biggest crowd of the year included a lot of youngsters with Mom and Dad, as fathers in attendance were treated to a number of great prizes courtesy of Molson.

 

The sponsor provided a smoker, wooden cooler, golf bags and much more and fans enjoyed some exciting action on the track.

 

In the feature race, three-year-old pacer Preppy Art won his third race in a row at Hanover -- and fourth of the season -- in 1:58 for owner, trainer and driver, Terry Fritz of Walkerton.

 

That wasn't the fastest race of the night, however. In the very next race, three-year-old Little Clayt got away from the outside post 7 and cruised home in 1:56.1 for driver J. Harris, trainer John Kennedy and owner Ali Kennedy of Hanover -- John's daughter.

 

Hanover Raceway celebrates its annual Hockeyville night next Saturday. Kids 13 and under wearing a hockey jersey will have a chance to win one of five bicycles courtesy of Hanover Raceway and Hanover Walmart. First race post time is 7:15 p.m.
