There was no catching Inspired Art as the pacer distanced himself from his Preferred rivals once again to continue his win streak on Saturday at St. John's Racing and Entertainment Centre.

 

Remaining undefeated for the past 11 months, Inspired Art made is eight straight wins for trainer Scott Forward and owner Elizabeth Courtney of Maddox Cove, Newfoundland. Driven by Shane Forward, Inspired Art won this week's $535 Preferred Pace in 2:03.4 by nine and three-quarter lengths -- his shortest win margin in his four starts this year.

 

The victory was the 40th lifetime for the 10-year-old gelded son of Artiscape, who has banked $195,848 in purse earnings.

 

Runner-up honours went to Muzzyenglishbaby while the winner's stablemate, Dustylane Wildbill, finished third in the five-horse featured finale.

 

With a training triple on Saturday, the Scott Forward stable has won no less than three races per card through the first four programs of the meet.
