Dover, DE---The spotlight is on 3-year-old filly trotters on Wednesday (March 30) with two $20,000 first-leg preliminaries along with an $18,500 trot on the regular card at Dover Downs. First post is 4:30 p.m.

In the first DSBF prelim, Kevin Switzer’s homebred Jasmine K, a winner of last fall’s 2-year-old consolation, Stacy Stafford’s Press Corp with Art Stafford Jr. and Don Marine’s Miss Baltimore and Tony Morgan from the rail, spark a field of seven.

The second $20,000 division shapes up a battle between the top three finishers in last fall’s $100,000 freshman final, Winbak Farm’s champion, Triple Bottom Line, driven by Jeff Fout, Jane Dunavant’s fast homebred Cicada’s Song with Carlo Poliseno and JCraparotta&PBerry Racing’s Epic Smash handled by Pat Berry, were the second- and third-place finishers, respectively.

On the regular program, nine start in the $18,500 4&5-Year-Old trot. Rich Lombardo and JJ&M Stable’s PL Incoming (Tim Tetrick) has a major change in post position switching from the outside to the rail. A major contender is Ken Wood, Bill Dittmar, Steve Iaquinta and Minisink Farms’ Paging Doctorlindy (Allan Davis) who leaves alongside. Meanwhile Jim Baucher’s fast Inner Peace (Sean Bier) has post 9 in the second tier. Other contenders include Al Moor’s Royal Status (Jim Morand) and good-closing Sweet Jesse T (Ross Wolfenden) owned by Howard and Josh Kauffman.

A strong array of quality trots complement the rest of the program.

Dover Downs races four days a week through April 14, Mondays through Thursdays beginning at 4:30 p.m. No Live racing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
