Classic Pro, who is listed at 45-1 in Trot Magazine's Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book, went 0-for-11 as a freshman while banking a little more than $120,000. So far this year, he’s a perfect 2-for-2 thanks in part to his impressive score Thursday evening at Mohawk Racetrack.

He splashed to a 1:57.3 triumph in the mud at Mohawk on May 4, and earlier this evening he turned in a front-stepping score for driver Louis Roy in 1:52.1 in a non-winner of two races tilt for four-year-olds and younger.

Later on the card a one-horse spill occurred in Race 9. Moments after the start pacing filly Village Jamie took a bad step, broke and fell. She unseated driver Trevor Henry before running loose behind the remainder of the field.
The starting gate crew apprehended the filly in the backstretch and escorted her in front of the grandstand where she was tended to. She suffered scrapes and cuts as a result of the fall. Trevor Henry got up quickly walked to the paddock with no apparent injuries. He went on to drive in the finale.
