Bruce Richardson collected a grand slam on the Saturday, July 14 program at Hanover Raceway which included a victory in the $12,400 Sharpes Feed Series Pace Final with Ferrarifever in 1:59.1.

Taking the lead from post three, Ferrarifever led as P L Lester raced wide into a pocket spot through a :28 first quarter. With the tempo slowing, the odds-on favourite soon experienced first-over pressure from Gideon Seelster after the half in 1:00.2.

From first over, Gideon Seelster drew within a half length of pacesetter Ferrarifever passing three-quarters in 1:30.4 but stalled into the stretch as the favourite gained separation. The Michel Rivest trainee won by two-and-three-quarter lengths over Gideon Seelster with pocket-sitter P L Lester close in third.

A three-year-old gelding by Mach Three out of the Astreos mare Cinny Fever, Ferrarifever, owned by Claude Poirier, won his fourth race in 12 starts this season and in 17 starts overall, earning $24,410. He paid $3.10 to win.

Richardson's first win on the 10-race card came with Itaintezbeincheesy ($5.10), a two-year-old Betterthancheddar colt who won a $4,400 conditioned pace going first over by six-lengths in 2:04. He won the following race, a $3,400 conditioned pace, by four-and-one-quarter lengths with even-money favourite Simon Said ($4.00) going wire to wire in 1:57.2. He then won his third with Ancastor Seelster ($4.40) in a $3,800 conditioned trot, winning by three lengths going wire to wire in 2:02.
