Who Doesnt’s 14-race winning streak came to a grinding halt during Monday’s matinee program at Century Downs, and it was Ghost Pine who managed to burst the bubble of that photogenic performer in the $10,500 Open Pace.

Ghost Pine rallied from just off the pace to win by three-quarters of a length over heavily favoured Who Doesn’t in a season’s best time of 1:53.4. Blue Eyed Cowboy rallied from last to finish third in the five-horse affair.

Sent off at odds of 9-1 for trainer/driver Kelly Hoerdt, the four-year-old son of Badlands Hanover-Just Sassy improved this year’s boxscore to 2-1-1 from seven trips while bringing his lifetime earnings to $73,929 in the process. The 12-time winner is owned by Hoerdt and partner Blair Corbeil of Beaumont, Alberta.
