Pat's A Keeper ran her career record to a perfect 4-4 in a $6,500 Preliminary in the Maryland Sires Stakes program on Wednesday night (Sept. 19) at Rosecroft Raceway.

Jared Moyer moved the 2-year old daughter of Lockkeeper to the front past the half and she cruised to an east victory over Gittin All Sexy (Russell Foster and Bossy Hilly (Frank Milby). Her seasonal earnings now sit at $46,800 for owner-breeder Pamela Wagner. She is conditioned by trainer Arlene Cameron.

Current News (Milby) won the other freshmen filly split popping the pocket in the stretch to beat Mary's A Keeper (John Wagner) and Sleek and Majestic (Andrew Stafford). It was the first career win in five starts for the Winbak Farm daughter of Holy Guacamolie, owned Bay Pond Racing Stable and trainer Eli Scott Jr.

In the 2-year old pacing category, there is no doubt Berzerker looks the part, and last night raced like it, knocking off Owzitgoin in 1:55.4. Tony Morgan drove the winner for trainer Brandon Murray who co-owns with fellow breeders Wanda and Clifton Murray. It was a new lifetime mark for the son of Rusty's For Real who is two for four lifetime.

Rusty's Houdini took the other $6,500 division for Driver Jason Thompson. It was the second win for the son of Rusty's For Real who is owned and bred by Andrew Scheller and trained by Jerry Nock.

On the pari-mutuel card, it was a night of long shots.

Justin Vincent took the opener with Cool Toy ($57.80), Mark Gray scored with Hot Hot Jenna ($73.40), and the eye-popper was Da Chief and Zachary Amiss who went wire-to-wire from post seven in a lifetime best 1:53.3 paying $79.20. Joe Columbo guided the talented, but behaviorally challenged, Hybrid Heidi to a wire to wire score and returned $46

Milby picked up two more wins on the betting card with Anna B and Accokeek Mercury. Brian Burton took both halves of the late daily double with Tidewater Titan and Howsaboutakiss.

Moyer picked up a second win as Plain Old Jane visited the winners circle for Moyer's wife Kayla.

Live racing continues Sunday afternoon at 4:40 p.m.
