Heston Blue Chip was the winner of the USHWA Dan Patch Award for Three Year Old Pacing Colts against a tough crop that included A Rocknroll Dance, Bettor's Edge, Michael's Power, Sweet Lou & Thinking Out Loud.
At 3, Heston was the Winner of the Breeders Crown elimination & Final (1:49.2). As the Favorite in the Final, he beat Bettor's Edge, Michael's Power, Sweet Lou & Thinking Out Loud.
His three year old accolades also include winning the Cane Pace elimination, Empire Breeders Classic elimination & Final (1:48.4), Historic (1:49.2), Matron Final (lifetime best 1:48), Meadowlands Pace elimination, 4 New York Sire Stakes legs, Progress Pace elimination (1:49.3, last quarter 26.3) and Final (1:49).
Heston Blue Chip set track-records & divisional-records at Tioga Downs of 1:49.2 and 1:48.4, and Dover Downs where he earned his lifetime best of 1:48.
“Heston had a great attitude. He wanted to win at high speeds and usually that transfers to a stallion’s offspring,” said Tim Tetrick, driver.
From a limited 1st crop of 27, Heston Blue Chip sired 2-year-old standout, Zero Tolerance, p, 2, 1:51 -'18 ($392,891). Zero Tolerance won multiple Stakes races including Bluegrass Series division, 2 New York Sire Stakes legs, Reynolds Memorial division and Tompkins-Geers Stake division. She also finished a sharp 2nd place in the Breeders Crown Final.
