First diagnosed with metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that grows in bones or the soft tissue around bones at age 5, Layla underwent chemotherapy and had been declared clean for two years before tests revealed that it had returned in May. She is currently undergoing further chemotherapy, which is expected to last for at least six months.

For those who wish to make a direct donation to assist with Layla’s medical treatments, a gofundme page has been set up here.
