No Bad Luck, Docdor Libby win Monday co-features at Dover

Dover, DE --- Both No Bad Luck and Docdor Libby dropped down from the Open ranks to win $16,000 splits of the filly and mare feature on Monday at Dover Downs.

In the first $16,000 division, Montrell Teague pulled No Bad Luck to the outside to pass leader Ash Larue at the three-quarters and then rolled away to a 1:52.3 victory.

The Badlands Hanover-Gee I’m Lucky 4-year-old won her fifth of 2011 and went over the six digit mark in earnings, now at $107,381 for owners Badlands Racing and trainer George Teague. Outahere Hanover (Brad Hanners) was a strong second with Freedom Crossing (Vince Copeland) third.

Docdor Libby took command early and was never headed in a 1:53.2 conquest in the other section. It was the third win of the day for Ross Wolfenden driving for Kim Gadino. The Joe Hundertpfund Camluck-Tripleplay Hanover 5-year-old trainee had been second in four of her previous five outings. Star Keeper (Corey Callahan) closed late to finish second. VC Atom N (Vince Copeland) was the show horse. Docdor Libby won for the eighth time this season and now has banked $156,565 this year.

The meet’s leading driver Corey Callahan had four winners and second place Wolfenden a driving triple. Montrell Teague and trainer George Teague had doubles.
