Fresh off a Meadows track record 1:52.4 last week, the Rich Gillock-trained and Dick Stillings-driven Winning Mister headed back behind the gate on Wednesday, February 8. His mission: prove that his record mile was no fluke.

The duo lined up in Post 8 for the track's $22,500 Preferred Trot and didn't waste any time putting their MO on display.

The pair were gunning for the top when they tripped the opening quarter in :28.2 while overland. After cleared to the engine, Stillings and Winning Mister clicked off the middle fractions in :57.1 and 1:24.3.

Already up three lengths on their rivals, the duo finished off their mile with a :28.3 final quarter, which resulted in a 1:53.1 mile. The margin of victory was two and three-quarter lengths.

Winning Mister, a six-year-old son of Angus Hall, surpassed the $833,000 mark in career earnings with the victory.
