s victorious in the $38,000 Preferred Trot at Woodbine Racetrack, and in Monday’s repeat effort she came within one-fifth of a second from matching the track record for older trotting mares set by Mystical Sunshine on May 29, 2006.

Keith Oliver utilized Frenchfrysnvinegar tactical speed by rushing her to the lead from Post 8. After chopping out an opening panel in :26.4, she came under attack - and eventually gave way - to Take My Picture. That foe hit the half :55.4 and the three-quarter pole in 1:24.1 before feeling the wrath of Frenchfrysnvinegar. That mare ripped out of the two-hole and summoned up a :28-second final quarter en route to the half-length score over Take My Picture, with Windsong Geant a hard-closing third.

Jeff Gillis trains the seven-year-old daughter of Angus Hall-Gugus for owner David Smith of Rockwood, ON. Both Gillis and the mare are finalists in their respective categories at the upcoming O’Brien Awards. Frenchfrysnvinegar, a 24-time winner, is now 2-for-3 this season. The $19,000 payday pushed her lifetime earnings to $654,575.
