For the second straight time, the George Teague stable, with Montrell Teague driving, dominated Wednesday morning (March 14) harness racing qualifying races at Dover Downs.

Again this week, Teague, who usually qualifies his top young horses at least twice, sometimes three times, before sending them into pari-mutuel starts, sent out nine of his promising 2012 campaigners. Montrell Teague drove six of them to victories.

Among Teague-conditioned top juveniles last season, stakes winning Custard The Dragon recorded one of the fastest qualifying wins in track history, 1:51.3. Both Wink N Atcha and three-year-old Racing Rocky won in 1:53.1. Feel Like A Fool was a 1:54 winner. The other Teague winners for the second straight week were Wind Me Up (1:54.3) and Four Starzzz Girl (1:56.3) all driven by Montrell Teague.

Other qualifying winners on the 10 qualifying races were Flying Instructor (Les Givens-1:54.3) with Teague’s Whirl Monroe, finishing a nose back in second. Beignet, also finished second, to fellow Teague-stablemate, Wind Me Up. Top class trotter, Looking Hanover (Ed Gannon Jr.-1:58) beat Teague-trained Sing Out, second. Also qualifying on the program were trotters Arriba Amigo(Brad Hanners-1:58.1), Keystone Thomas (Daryl Bier-2:00.1) and DiManggio (Tony Poliseno-2:00.2).

Dover Downs final Qualifying races for the season is set for Wednesday, March 28.
