Saratoga Springs, NY --- Billy Dobson is back atop the drivers' standings after a big Thursday night (April 12) at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.
The 27-year-old is coming off back-to-back driving championships at the Spa and though he fell behind Jim Morrill, Jr. in the early stages here in 2012, Dobson has surged back into the lead.
Dobson put in his best night of the young season on Thursday while piloting four winners on the night. The victories came in a bunch for Dobson who prevailed in four consecutive races.
Dobson won with pacing mare Studio Queen (Four Starzzz Shark) before sweeping the Pick-3 with pacers Keltic Sport, Something New and Funnel Cake Queen.
With the four Thursday scores, Dobson now has 27 wins on the season and is driving at a higher average than he did in his championship seasons of 2010 and 2011.
