Toronto, ON --- After capturing their respective divisions in the opening round of the Celias Counsel Series last week, both Lexus Helios and I'm On Cloud Nine found the winner’s circle once again in the second leg on Thursday evening (April 12) at Woodbine.


In the opening division, Lexus Helios went gate-to-wire for driver Mike Saftic in 1:58.


The daughter of Ken Warkentin-Lexus Hall led through panels of :28, :58.4 and 1:29.4 in the C$30,000 tilt before drawing away on her rivals to score a 7-1/2 length victory in 1:58. Cynthia Loo (Trevor Henry) came from off the pace to finish second, with Belle Nana (Keith Oliver) third.


Norm Dunstan owns and trains the bay filly who increased her lifetime earnings to $25,604. The lightly-raced miss boasts a record of 2-0-0 from three starts in 2012. She paid $2.70 to win as the favorite.


Later on the card, driver Jack Moiseyevguided I'm On Cloud Nine to victory lane in the second and final division.


The daughter of Angus Hall-Celebrity Angel sat behind fractions of :28.1, :58 and 1:28 before getting up in the final strides to score a narrow victory over Sugar Wheeler (Paul MacDonell) in 1:57.2. Justasmalltowngirl (Anthony MacDonald) finished third.


Trained by Kevin O’Reilly for owner W. J. Donovan, I'm On Cloud Nine increased her lifetime earnings to $50,110. The bay filly remains undefeated in two appearances this season. She paid $7.20 to win as the second choice.


Both Lexus Helios and I'm On Cloud Nine will look for the series sweep in the C$50,000 final set for April 23.
