Elizabeth Brittingham’s As Bad As Thunder won his third straight race Monday at Harrington Raceway with a decisive front end score in 1:52.4 in the $18,000 Open Pace.
Trained by Don Brittingham, As Bad As Thunder seized control immediately as the gate sped away and set fractions of :27.3, :56.3 and 1:24.3 for driver Bret Brittingham. As Bad As Thunder sprinted home in :28.1 to win by 4-1/2 lengths over Go Both Ways, with Volo closing late to finish third.
Donald Brittingham trains the six-year-old Badlands Hanover gelding, who extended his winning streak to three-in-a-row. It was the fifth tally of the year for the 20-time winner, who has banked in excess of $190,000 to date.
