The Ontario Select Yearling Sale has announced that it will be held on September 26th at Winbak Farm of Canada.
"We believe this date will work well with the major races at Mohawk being on the same weekend,” said Pat Woods, Ontario Select Sale Manager. “The Saturday Night program with the Mohawk Million and other lucrative races should bring an exciting list of connections to the area and then they can come to the sale on the following day.”
Entries are now being accepted. The deadline for entries will be June 1st.
Please note that entries will be capped at 160. There is a $250 entry fee.
The Ontario Select Yearling Sale Commission will be tier-based. The minimum commission will be $500. The commissions will be set as up to $50,000 is 5%, $50,001 to $99,999 is 4% and $100,000 and up is 3%.
“We came up with the commission tiers to award consignors who trust us to sell their best horses,” said Woods. “We believe that this is a great way to attract Ontario’s best to the sale.”

“We have already received interest from several of last year’s consignors,” said Woods. “We look forward to working with both returning and new consignors in the coming season.”
