Friday, June 17, 2016  By: Standardbred Canada

Four $20,000 Pennsylvania Stallion Series races for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers took place on Thursday, June 16 at Harrah's Philadelphia.

Lone Wolf Stable's Rip This Joint (driven by Yannick Gingras) recorded a gate-to-wire win in the first division. The gelded son of Western Terror posted his sixth career win in what was his twentieth career start. The Mike Palone trainee has now won four of his last five races. He accomplished the task in 1:53.4.

The heavily favoured Power Of A Cruiser (Tim Tetrick) did not disappoint in the second division. The gelded son of Yankee Cruiser has also been on a roll, as he has won his last four races. He made the lead in the second quarter and went on to stop the clock in 1:53.2. He is owned by Michael Horsey, and trained by Les Givens.

There was a big upset in the third division, as Hes Marvalous (Brett Miller) overcame Post 8 to win at odds of 27-1. The gelded son of Delmarvalous won for the first time this season. The win time was 1:53.4. He is owned by Badlands Racing and L A Express Stables, and is trained by Mike Hall.

The fourth division was won by Doubleshottahott. The gelded son of Dragon Again followed up his convincing 12-length win on June 11 with an in-hand victory in 1:53.1. He is owned by Tom Leager and trainer Eric Ell. The victory was one of four wins on the day for driver David Miller.
