Kyle Fellows trained a hat trick of winners on Monday (Jan. 8) evening with starters at The Raceway at the Western Fair District and Woodbine Mohawk Park. His standout victory of the evening came with Arties Ideal in the featured $11,000 Preferred Pace at the London, Ont. oval.

Samuel Fillion and Arties Ideal teamed up to make every pole a winning one through panels in :28, :58.4 and 1:27.1. Opening up with every stride, Arties Ideal used a :28.3 last panel to win by 2-1/4 lengths in 1:55.4. Called In Sick (Nicholas Steward) took second and Ideal Perception (Anthony Haughan) rounded out the top three.

A winner of $621,190 in career earnings, Arties Ideal has frequented the winner's circle 25 times in his 120 starts. Hutt Racing Stable owns the eight-year-old son of American Ideal and the Artsplace mare Midnight Art. With his last three starts in the feature division at Flamboro and all as top three finishes under his belt, Arties Ideal went to the gate as the bettors' choice. He returned $3.20 to win.
