of Stafford-family harness racing fillies put their win streaks on the line in the two $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders (DSBF) Two-Year-Old Filly pace on the Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Dover Downs. First post is 4:30 p.m.

 

In the first DSBF filly pace, By Design, owned by Randall and Ben Stafford with Ben Stafford Jr. in the bike, puts her two-race win streak and three-wins in her last three races against a sharp for, Daryl Bier and Charley Dombeck’s Inittowinafortune with Tim Tetrick driving the six-time winner this season.

 

The other starters in the final prelim prior to next week’s $100,000 final are Jim Wilson’s Ally Wishes, handled by Tony Morgan, Howard Birney’s Amelia Bluedelia driven from the rail by Roger Plante and another Stafford contender, Art Stafford Jr. trained and driven Day Dreamin Dragon owned by Tommy N Dakota Stables.

 

In the second DSBF prelim, Blush With Pride (Ben Stafford Jr.), a winner of two-straight for Ben Stafford and Winbak Farm, has drawn the rail. Last week, Bill Rohrer’s Dream M Ezy (Tony Morgan) finished second behind Blush With Pride. The rest of lineup includes Ron Davis’ Grace Of An Angel (George Dennis); Garnet O’Marrow homebred Seboomook Boo Yah (Allan Davis); Bryan Truitt trained and driven Women Rule and Friendsnheartbeat (Eddie Davis Jr) racing for Norma Messick and Tim Torbert.

 

The Stafford trainer-driver combination head the third DSBF prelim with Diane and Joel Halpern’s Bags of Stars, a winner of three races and first or second in eight of nine starts. Majorie Richards and Judith Leonard’s Little Miss B (Ross Wolfenden) heads the rest of the field made up by Scott Woogen’s KJ’s Caroline (Vic Kirby); George Leager’s Stylish Lady (George Dennis) and Floyd Pratt’s Lookout Stokk Zone (Corey Callahan).

 

The top-eight point getters after two prelims final prelim return next Tuesday in the DSBF $100,000 final.

 

Monday through Thursday racing begins at 4:30 p.m. Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m. There is no charge for parking or admission. Reservations are suggested for the Winner's Circle Restaurant.
