Angus Hall, a premiere trotting stallion at Winbak of Canada, continues to rack up important victories in Ontario stakes in $24,000 events at Georgian Downs, Ont. Make A Promise, Driftwood and Panz Kafka recorded victories in Ontario Sire Stakes Grassroots Series events. All three are sons of Angus Hall.

The first Angus Hall winner was public choice, Make A Promise, with Rick Zeron driving. Make A Promise took the lead past half-mile marker and went on for a neck victory in 1:57.3. Trainer Rob Fellows co-owns Make A Promise with Allison Jay, Philippe Leclerc, and John Yanevski.

Another Angus Hall win was posted by Driftwood, piloted by Mario Baillargeon, with a similar victory in 1:57.3 to win by 3-3/4 lengths. Trainer Jerry Duford, Joanne Wray, Lloyd and Barbara Tylee own Driftwood.

Brad Forward drove Panz Kafka to the front with a quarter-pole move to the lead on the way to a 1:57.1 triumph in the final Grassroots split. Peter Pan Stable, Inc. owns the homebred colt trained by Bob McIntosh.

Muscle Hill continues to top the Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Top 10 list. The undefeated sophomore, the second Hambletonian winner bred by Winbak in the last four years, continues to showcase important winners bred, raised and sold by Winbak Farm. The 2009 Hambletonian championship won for the 14th time in 15 lifetime starts. Already this season, Muscle Hill has won nine in a row and $1,850,141 in purses. Muscle Hill has not been defeated since finish second in his first lifetime start.

Winbak Farm Hambletonian success began in 2005 when Winbak-bred Vivid Photo won the prestigious $1.5 million event.

In addition to champion trotters, Winbak also has bred two U.S. Harness Writers Association (USHWA) Horses of the Year this decade, No Pan Intended and Rainbow Blue.

An outstanding group of Winbak bred colts and fillies sell this Fall at leading yearling venues throughout North America.
