The connections of Nocturnal Bluechip will certainly have an eye on the Nassagaweya divisions this Saturday in order to size up the potential opposition in the two-year-old pacing colt division.

In rein to Paul MacDonell in a Tuesday night start at Mohawk Racetrack, Nocturnal Bluechip settled into fourth during the first half of the mile before starting a first-over bid just past the half. With a swift brush, Nocturnal Bluechip was on top by the three-quarter station and proceeded to open up on the field under a hand drive. With an final quarter of :27.1 under no urging, Nocturnal Bluechip tripped the timer in 1:52.3. More than six lengths back was runner-up Adrian Hanover (Randy Waples) just ahead of favoured Dr J Hanover (Steve Condren) in the $14,000 contest.

A $97,000 Harrisburg yearling, Nocturnal Bluechip (Bettors Delight - Mcarts N Crafts) is trained by Mark Steacy for Landmark 8 Racing Stable of Kingston, Ont., NLG Racing Stable of Wallkill, N.Y. and Jane Phair of Wasaga Beach, Ont.

Nocturnal Bluechip is one of 164 horses eligible to the 2015 Metro Pace, with eliminations set for Saturday, August 29. A number of Metro-eligibles will also be in action during this Saturday's Nassagaweya divisions at Mohawk.
