y Boyd and Jefferson Davis' Arya Stark ($4.10) sustained a first-over grind to put away Cranberry Brie and outpace Whozyomomma in Wednesday's (Oct. 9) feature at Flamboro Downs, an $8,800 conditioned pace for fillies and mares.

Robert Shepherd commenced his first-over attack with the three-year-old daughter of Royal Mattjesty while early pacesetter Cranberry Brie (Paul MacKenzie) rated a :58 first half. On the second circuit, Arya Stark made her presence felt alongside Cranberry Brie, and duelled down her inside foe in upper stretch. She edged away smartly to a 2-1/2 length advantage over pocket rival Whozyomomma (J Harris) — who switched off the pegs at the eighth pole — to win in 1:55.4, while Cranberry Brie faded to third.
