Chester, PA --- It was a cold and windy Friday night (March 9) at Harrah’s Chester for their 2012 opening, but for George Napolitano, Jr. it was a hot night to start off the season.

Napolitano scored right off the bat by winning the first race aboard a Lou Pena trainee, Four Starz Q. with a wire-to-wire win in 1:53.3, a good mark on a cold night with a front stretch head win. Four Starz Q paid $2.80 to his backers.

His other five wins were aboard Tylers Rendevous ($9.80), General Montgomery ($4.20), Winning Mister ($3.40), Sand Summerfield ($32.00) and Chartreuse Hanover ($17.00).

The 6-year-old trotter Winning Mister scored his fifth win of 2012 in the $35,000 Open by going wire-to-wire with Napolitano in the bike in 1:53.3, beating trainer Ron Burke’s Equity (Matt Kakaley) and trainer Eric Ell’s Anders Bluestone (Ron Pierce). Winning Mister is trained by Rich Gillock and owned by Robert Key.

Trainers Lou Pena, Jason Robinson and Carl Cito, Jr. scored two wins each and drivers Corey Callahan and Ron Pierce also scored two wins.

Racing continues Sunday (March 11) at Harrah’s Chester with a 12:40 p.m. post time. The 2012 racing schedule is Wednesday through Friday with a 12:40 p.m. post and also Sunday at the same time.
