Freehold, NJ --- Older pacer Golden Receiver, who has won the Graduate, Spring Pacing Championship and Presidential finals this season, debuts at No. 1 in the first Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown Top 10 poll for 2012.
A total of 62 horses received votes in the poll, with five getting at least one first-place nod.
Older trotter Mister Herbie, who has the Cutler Memorial and Glorys Comet crowns to his credit, was No. 2 in the poll followed by 3-year-old male pacer Sweet Lou, who was narrowly ahead of fellow Ron Burke trainees Atochia and Foiled Again.
Foiled Again, Sweet Lou and San Pail were in the final Top 10 last season. San Pail was later named Horse of the Year, Foiled Again was Pacer of the Year, and Sweet Lou was the 2-year-old male division champion.
